Via mijn werk komt er helaas veel dierenleed bij mij binnen. Het volgende bericht wil ik jullie niet onthouden en meteen aandacht vragen voor de Stichting Wereldasielen die oh zo goed werk verricht.

Beste dierenvrienden,
Afgelopen week is er in Pando in Uruguay een hondje gevonden met afgehakte achterpoten.
Het hondje werd door een dierenvriend gevonden en werd gelijk naar Mary Brown van Animal Help gebracht.
Het gaat gelukkig nu goed met Lucus, hij wordt omringd met heel veel liefde en er wordt een rolstoel voor hem gemaakt.
In onderstaande mail kun je het complete verhaal van Mary over Lucas lezen.
Mary Brown krijgt geen overheidsteun. Dagelijks worden er in Uruguay veel dieren mishandeld, aangereden, misbruikt, gedood etc.
Animal Help in Uruguay is een van de weinige organisaties die dieren willen redden en helpen.
Animal Help heeft momenteel meer dan 110 honden die verzorgd moeten worden.
Mary heeft heel hard hulp nodig om dit werk te kunnen voortzetten, ik kan dit bevestigen omdat ik er zelf in 2007 ben geweest.

Now I am going to show you the latest case which was so horrifying as Rony the dog I rescued who had been burnt. The images are really too hard to see so those who can't see terrrible scenes I beg you to be carefull.
The 13th June 2010, a dog was dragging himself by thew side of R.101 km 28, a nice good girl who was driving to Pando saqw him, rescued him and brought him over to ANIMAL HELP immediately, when we saw him it was to horrifying to resist, we assisted him immediately, he was scared to death, his gums were white like paper, skinny, his pennis was fracxtured, the next day I took another photograph, 14th, he let himself be padded, the 15th he ate from my hand and kissed my hands, the 17th my Vet Diego Caraballo came over to make surgery on him, his condition was much much better, he had to amputate his tibia bone of his right leg, and had to opperate his pennis, on Tuesday he is comming again to amputate his left tibia bone. We are already prepareing a device sort of a very very light cart with wheels for him, Tato is going to finish it, so that it will be confortable for him. It has been so shocking news that even channel 4 came over becasue of this rescue, I talked about law 18.471 which goes against animals it just has very few articles to protect them, so now the tools we have in Uruguay for animal protection are terrible, it allows experimentation on animals, shooting at animals that are considered as plagues, rituals with animals, selling mistreated horses to slaughterhouses, and so on, that is why before this law was accepted, I spoke on every media about it but it was useless, i am still trying to change this reality. I am going to change the old law and present it as a new law based on the one we had of 1918.
